We're glad you asked. Giving to Unfinished can be done through our website at vrl.church/give/give-now. You can use a credit card or electronic check via ACH. We encourage the use of ACH over debit and credit cards as they have the lowest transactions fees.

We also recommend creating a recurring gift to keep you on track with your pledge. You'll be able to see your giving progress toward your pledge on your MyAccount page.

First and foremost, we are asking that you pray and seek God's leading of obedience in your life. Prepare your heart to hear Him and then do what He says. Join a Life Group, pickup a VRL Unfinished Guidebook that goes with the Unfinished sermon series. And share enthusiastically with your spouse, your family or anyone who will listen what this commitment will mean for you during the this season of your life.

Secondly, we are asking that you make a sacrificial commitment to gospel-centered generosity — whatever it is that God is leading you towards. Follow His leading.

Finally, we ask that you prepare to be amazed. It is an awesome God that we serve and He is going to move in huge ways and we anticipate an unprecedented impact from our collective commitments — something only God can do.

If you're new to Unfinished, you are invited to make a commitment through December 31, 2026. For those continuing in their commitment, Unfinished officially began December 2024 and continues through December 2026.

But don't let dates stop you from following God's call to live and give generously.

You may have been a part of church giving initiatives in the past during which you were asked to give a second gift "above and beyond" your usual gifts to make special initiatives like new buildings and new ministries possible.

Normally, you gave that gift to a "Building Fund" and you also continued to give offerings to the "General Fund."

With Unfinished we believe that it is ONE MISSION that we're on — to REACH THE WORLD FOR JESUS ONE PERSON AT A TIME. So, we want to encourage everyone to unleash our generosity towards that singular purpose.

Over the two years of Unfinished, every gift that is given to Valley Real Life will go to fund our Unfinished Mission, Vision, and Outreach.

The good news: our Unfinished Outreach through offerings like Joy To The World are still happening. They are wrapped in the "one-fund" of Unfinished. That means that every dollor received goes to make sure that we're still reaching the world for Jesus.

That means that every day becomes a day to celebrate and contribute towards what God is doing in us and through us to help ALL people discover and deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Be creative as you explore ways you and your family can give towards Unfinished. You might have stocks, property or other stored resources that God has blessed you with. He might just be calling you to give out in other ways during this time.

Unfinished is about your total, radical, sacrificial generosity to God's mission through VRL. We believe that God calls us to action in times of hardship just as much as He does in times of abundance and that looks different for every person. But Unfinished is about a heart change — one that is only accomplished by surrendering our lives completely over to God in the area of generosity.

God may be calling you to make a commitment that you don't quite know how to fulfill right now. Believe that God will provide for as you seek ways to sacrifice and work towards that commitment. It is not about the size of the gift, but your obedience towards what God is calling you to in this season

The primary goal of this discipleship journey is 100% participation of every person that considers VRL home.

If you are making payments to pay off debt right now, we commend you for your discipline and wisdom. You should continue down that path.

We would be happy to help you in this journey and/or to recommend a budgeting class that might encourage you. Being in debt doesn't dismiss God's call to generosity. Giving is not about what God wants from you; rather, it's about what God wants for you.

Unfinished was crafted specifically with you in mind. Unfinished is a "one fund" generosity initiative, meaning that it is different from a traditional capital campaign where you are called to give an extra gift above and beyond your normal giving - thus creating two steps for people who aren't yet giving. If you have never given before, this is your chance to get involved with committed generosity. We really hope you will.

Unfinished is about the vision for our church. We believe that the local church is one of the most compelling missions to give towards and we would really love for you to make VRL your home and join us in reaching the world for Jesus one person at a time.

If you are ready for it, this is a perfect time for you to make VRL your church. You should consider joining our next DNA Class to learn more about our history and our vision for ministry.

Great question. People take different spiritual steps at different times. Some people begin praying before they begin attending church. Others begin going to a Life Group before they begin talking to God in prayer. Giving is another spiritual step and it comes at different times for different people.

One thing is for sure, however just like other spiritual disciplines, giving draws us closer to God. And God is calling all of us to give. (Matthew 6:19)

Whether you have been baptized or you haven't, we would encourage you to still join us in Unfinished as your next step in your spiritual journey. We firmly believe that it will draw you closer to God and hopefully to a place where you are ready to make the decision to be baptized.
